The city of Navarre is hosting new tasting sessions these days
Madrid, August 25, 2016.
Olive oil is again the protagonist for a few days in Pamplona thanks to the tastings that start today in the city and will last until next week, taking place on 25 and 26 August and 1 and 2 September. The liquid gold of INNOLIVA will be one of the employees during the meetings, where the elaboration, conservation and classification of the oils will be discussed, in order to provide useful information for the consumer.
The sessions, which last about an hour and a half, will also serve to teach attendees to make a correct reading of the labels, one of the most important phases when choosing a good oil. To conclude, there will be a practical demonstration of pairing between food and different EVOOs.
Ana Irurita, expert taster and member of the Official Oil Panel of the Government of Navarre, is in charge of leading the tastings, while the training comes from the expert Migueltxo Goñi. The meetings have the collaboration of the Wine Regulating Council D.O de Navarra and Reyno Gourmet.
INNOLIVA, a leading producer based in Pamplona, is one of the companies that will serve its ‘premium’ EVOO during the sessions.
Tickets are available at the City Council’s Tourism Office.
The company, which has its head office in Pamplona (Spain), owns more than 5,000 hectares of irrigated olive groves, located in Spain and Portugal, where the Mediterranean climate gives the olive tree the ideal environment for the development and maturation of the fruit; and it favors the obtaining of Extra Virgin Olive Oils with excellent sensory qualities.
With its production system, they guarantee the integral traceability of the entire process: from the olive tree to the final customer.
They make their Extra Virgin Olive Oil cold in the shortest time possible from the entrance of the olive in the oil mill. And they take care of the oil already produced to maintain their excellent sensory and healthy qualities as long as possible.
